Dresden Codex (Women’s) – Eighteen Ancient Predictions

Size Guide

The Dresden Codex is a Mayan divination tool from the 11th or 12th century A.D. It suffered serious water damage during the bombing of Dresden, Germany, in WWII.

On pages 6 and 7, pictured on this shirt, there are a series of 18 prognostications. Most of these auguries speak of positive outcomes. Itzamná, who appears here along with the Owl of Omen and War, is a benevolent deity balancing these unknowns.

The Dresden Codex also features a ceremonial calendar of solar and lunar eclipses including precise tables for calculating the movements of Venus and Mars.

It also describes ceremonies for the beginning of the year, a big flood, and a prophecy for a Katun. A Katun is a 20-year-period of 7200 days in the calendar system and is the name of novel one for Mystics of the Maya.
